The Twitter-left are tearing themselves up over Elon Musk's acquisition of Twitter because the tech billionaire "actually wants free speech," says The Australian's Sophie Elsworth.
It comes as Tech billionaire Elon Musk has finalised a deal to buy the social media giant for $US44 billion – equivalent to $AU61.3 billion.
The acquisition by Mr Musk ends Twitter’s run as a public company since its first public offering in 2013 and will be one of the biggest acquisitions in tech history.
"It'd just cap it off to bring Donald Trump back onto Twitter – wouldn't that send them into a spin," Ms Elsworth told Sky News host Paul Murray.
