The floodwater is receding more quickly than anyone expected, giving way instead to an army of volunteers swarming through muddy streets to return Brisbane to its beautiful best.
They're not waiting for the official Mud Army, but there's so much work ahead of them.
The recovery will take months, even years, and that plan was outlined today.
